Why I Love Me Tag

I am so excited to write this post.  An amazing friend of mine, Tash from ThoughtfulTash, has created an amazing tag all about self-love and realising that you are amazing (which I am all for, seriously who doesn’t need some self love every so often) and it is so important.  Tash is amazing for tagging me to do this tag because I want to get this out there to all you guys so you can do it too, it’s amazing!  We are constantly tearing ourselves down as a society, so it’s important to make us realise our self-worth every once in a while!

  • Post the award on your blog
  • Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you
  • Leave a link to the original tag creator (ThoughtfulTash) to get a bit more info about WHY this tag has been made!
  • Write 10 things you love about YOURSELF and WHY

  • In the comments of the blog post, spread more self-love with compliments to each other! THE MORE LOVE THE BETTER!

  1. I Love…Being Tall –  Okay so I’m not the tallest girl I know, but I am pretty tall and I really like it.  I feel like it’s so much more convenient for me; I can reach everything in tall spaces and I don’t have to worry about not being able to see things.  I mean it does make buying jeans really hard because I have the gangliest spider legs that exist with really long arms too so everything is just a little bit short on my arms and legs but hey, tallness is cool.
  2. I Love…My Freckles – I’m the most typical pale girl covered in freckles and oh my god sometimes I totally despise them, but recently, as I’ve been getting (dare I say it?!) a slight tan, they’re blending into my skin a little bit and I really like them.
  3. I Love…My Spontaneity – Look, don’t get me wrong I am so anti social it’s insane but I like to think I’m quite spontaneous; I don’t zoom out on cute, instagram worthy adventures at the drop of a hat but I’m quite adaptable and I can be persuaded to do something pretty easily?
  4. I Love…My Love For Animals – I adore animals (apart from spiders and wasps, I could never see them again and it would be too soon) and I would never be able to live without them!  I adore my cats (here she goes again, a fifteen hour-long rant on her cats) and literally all other animals are so great and pure.  Give me any animal and I will love it so much.  Plus, people who love animals are easier to trust, right?
  5. I Love…How Outgoing I am – I can get along with everyone, even if I don’t really like them (please don’t be deceived by this – I like you all!) and I feel like I’m quite an easy to get along with person myself.  I mean I’m probably not and everyone is probably screaming at me like ‘no we hate you’ but at least I can think this and how much I appreciate that quality of myself!
  6. I Love…My Humor – I am incredibly sarcastic, if you couldn’t tell, and I often put myself down with a good old self-deprecating joke but I secretly love to joke about myself and I laugh at basically anything.
  7. I Love…My Love Of Makeup – Well doesn’t this sound a bit shallow?  Am I desperate to find things to love? Maybe. NO!  Here’s the thing; I am so unartistic it’s just mad like I can’t draw a cat it’s that bad.  But, I feel like since I invest a lot of time and money into makeup and my face sometimes looks like a bit okay and well done. Sometimes my eyeshadow looks passable and it makes me feel nice and confident, plus I really enjoy doing it so yeah, I love it.
  8. I Love…My Resilience  – I bounce back very easily from difficult and stressful situations.  If something bad happens to me or something remotely stressing then I feel like I get back up and deal with it head on without trying to ignore it; very little effects me and makes me feel down really.
  9. I Love…My Eyes – I’ve always thought my eyes were a bit weird, they’re all the ‘generic’ eye colours (I say very loosely).  They are blue-green and they have a weird  brown tinge to them round the pupil.  I never really liked them but more recently I’ve started to enjoy them more!
  10. I Love…My Blog – As much as I’m the worst at producing decent content or actually updating my blog, I love it and feel like it’s a part of me.  It’s really helped me over the years to gain confidence (even though I wasn’t a super shy person in the first place) and to improve writing skills.  It’s just an experience I don’t think many people get to go through (even though they totally could and should!) and I’m really glad I’ve got it as part of me.

  1. Marble Beauty
  2. Okaaythen
  3. Pale Girl Rambling
  4. Elly, A Hufflepuff’s Thoughts
  5. Skyyjade

Of course, these people I have nominated but if you want to do this tag then please feel free!  I am so happy that Tash created this, it’s such an important tag for people to do!  Everyone needs a little self-love every so often!

Christmas Tag!

One of my favourite bloggers, LancoraPerla, did a Christmas Tag yesterday, and I thought I’d give it a go!  LancoraPerla is also doing her ‘Countdown To Christmas’ which is what I feel like loads of us are doing at the moment with loads of posts going up to Christmas!!  Please go check out her blog as she is one of my favourite bloggers out there and posts such amazing content!

Anyway, I’ll get on with the tag now!

  • Favourite Christmas Film? I have one called ‘Snow Day’ which I’ve not seen for years, but remember that my Brother found it on Disney channel on a snow day about 5 years ago.  I also love Mickey’s Christmas which takes you through various different Mickey Mouse characters and their Christmas.  Then obviously Christmas Carol.  I’ve never seen Home Alone, is that bad?
  • Ever Had A White Christmas? I feel like anyone in the UK will remember the time from around 2009-2011 where we did have loads of snow from back end of November until March or something stupid.  I loved it, it snowed before Christmas and then melted away by Boxing Day when it dumped shed loads more snow.  The most fun Christmas ever! So yes, a few.
  • Where do you usually spend your holiday? I spend Christmas Day at my house, and my Grandparents come over for a meal, and then Boxing day is spent at my Grandparents house also.  Then my brothers birthday comes up, and we go to my other Grandparents who live in Lincolnshire for a few nights! Then back to my house for New Years, where we don’t usually have a party.
  • Favourite Christmas song? Fairytale of New York by the Pouges, Last Christmas by WHAM or Boney M. Mary’s Boy Child.
  • Is Your Tree Real or Fake? Fake, but it looks very real.
  • What Made You Realise The Truth About Santa? *gasps* What truth about Santa? Haha, only kidding.  I remember quizzing my Mum about the Tooth Fairy and having decide she wasn’t real, I came to the decision that I’d also ask about Santa.  I was very mature for my age of about 10, and my Mum just asked me ‘what do you think’ and I simply replied ‘I think it might be Dad’ and they both laughed and gave in.
  • What Makes The Holidays Special For You? While I do enjoy Christmas Day, I prefer the run up to Christmas.  I just love the cosiness and everyone seems to be so happy.  Everywhere you go there’s a tree or some decorations and Christmas songs playing and it’s just lovely.  So probably the atmosphere, yep.
  • What’s Better, Giving or Receiving Presents? Well I hate giving, because I never know if they’ll like it or not.  I love receiving though, as I love to open presents and look at everyone’s impressive wrapping!

That is the end of The Christmas Tag!  Please feel free to try it out yourself!

Hope you enjoyed it,

Merry Christmas xx

I Might Be Slowly Dying ….

No like seriously, I haven’t stepped out of my bed all day, my left ear is deaf therefore every single noise sounds dull, my throat feels non-existent it is in that much pain and my whole body aches.

I’m not even exaggerating. It is seriously that bad.

Along with me slowly dying of whatever death has been stricken upon me, I am super bored.  I have watched all three series of The Inbetweeners in like, what, two days.  TWICE!  I’m watching Coronation street, and I am dying of absolute boredom.

I wondered what to do with my day, or what is left of it. I thought about a tag, but couldn’t be bothered.  But now, now I think, well maybe I can be bothered.  I can.

1. Thing you cannot leave the house without?

My phone and purse.  Because I need money to buy food if we get stranded and my phone for help if we get stranded.  I live my life in fear of a nuclear war or something.  But imagine how amazing I would be if it did happen.  How the hell did I even get onto this  from ‘things you cannot leave the house with’?  Just bloody leave it.  PHONE AND PURSE.

2. Favorite brand of make up?

I literally cannot afford and do not care for, out of my own money, fancy makeup like MAC or YSL or like, Benefit.  No.  So basically drug store stuff, which is actually good (hands up if you agree)!  And out of all the drug store stuff I would probably say rimmel or W7.

3. Favorite Flowers?

I mean one, they are so pretty and colourful.  Two, you can play with them, like, snap them open and closed.  Three, DRAGON is in their name.   Like, as if a flower would be called dragon.  CUTE!

4. Fav clothing stores?

New look, Primark & H&M

5. Fav perfume?

Jack Wills body spray or Beyonce Heat.

6.Heels or flats?

Flats, because I never have the opportunity to wear heels, and, lets face it, they are SO un-practical.

7.Do you make good grades?

I guess so?  It depends what good grades are classed as.  Like, I’m not the worst, i’m not in the middle but i’m certainly not in the very top? I’m upper of the high levels.

8. Fav colours?

Silver, purple and black.

9.Do you drink energy drinks?

Ew no, they repulse me.  Like, they taste like wee and make me feel sick and shaky.  Literally wouldn’t dare.

10.Do you drink juice?

If vimpto & orange squash is classed as juice then yes.  If your on about posh blended smoothies and cucumber & carrot juice then no.

11.Do you like swimming?

Out in the open in a warm country, yes.  In England in a grubby public swimming pool with about twenty children’s piss pooling around every square meter, when I have to get out and dry off and get changed in a damp, bacteria filled changing room and then go home with sopping wet hair in the fridge like Britain, no, I do not.  I usually get tonsillitis from it also so, naaayyy!

12.Do you eat fries with a fork?

First off, CHIPS NOT FRIES.  Depends on the meal.  A plate of chips, no.  A McDonalds chips packet, no.  If I am having chips as a part of a meal which you would eat with a fork, yes I would.  I only have ketchup with fish and chips too, and fish and chips I eat with my fingers, even the fish.  I am so un-dignified.

13.Whats your fav moisturizer?

When I can be arsed to moisturise, which is so very rarely, I use whatever product on my dressing table says ‘face and/or body moisturiser’.

14.Do you want to get married later on in life?

Uhm well yes, but key point, LATER ON IN LIFE!  I want to like travel and stuff.

15.Do you get mad easily?

Yeah probably.

16.Are you into ghost hunting?

Who the hell was this tag made for?  I believe in ghosts, and say I’m not scared of them but if I did see one I’d probably shit myself.  With fear.

17.Any phobias?

I’m arachnophobic – have a huge fear of spiders.  I have a fear of rollercoasters, not of heights though.

18.Do you bite your nails?

If you do, please don’t talk to me because that is grim.  G R I M!

19.Have you ever had a near death experience?

Not that I know of, and asking my Mum she replied with a firm ‘NO’.

20.Do you drink coffee?

Guys coffee is grim.  If you need caffeine then have coke.

Okay so there was my 20 Questions Tag, have a good un’ and anyone who wants to do that, go ahead and do it??!
