I broke up from school today so it’s finally Christmas!!
It’s amazing to think that I’ve actually had the dedication to post every day and sometimes even twice a day up until now, and we’re only four days away from the end of blogmas! It’s going to feel so weird not posting every day, I’ve enjoyed it so so much and all the interaction I’ve been getting with you all on my blog has been so lovely.
Anyway, todays post isn’t some huge smushy thank you letter to you all, but it’s one of my last collabs of blogmas and I’m very happy to say it’s with Siana from Velvet Navy, which you might have seen me mention in my post from last week all about my favourite bloggers from this December! Anyway, today, I will be sharing with you all how I have a cosy pamper evening for myself in the winter months and Siana will be sharing her version of the post also over on her blog, you really need to go check it out as I’m sure it will be wonderful! Anyway, enough rambling – I’ll get onto how I have a super relaxing pamper evening in Winter.
The first thing I’ll do is come in from wherever I’ve been that day which is more often than not school, and dump all my things; I empty my bag and sort my books onto my shelves and see if I’ve got any homework. I usually choose to pamper myself on a night where I haven’t got any homework or revision as otherwise it’s just be really stressful and not really a pamper! If I’ve got anything in my room that needs to be put away then I will do as I like having a clean room because I find it most relaxing, although this is quite contrary to the state of my room at the moment!
After this I usually just chill out on my phone for a while and reply to some comments on my blog, scroll through instagram and play my favourite game of the moment which is Animal Crossing Pocket Camp! Everyone was addicted to this a couple of weeks back but my addiction has continued and I am pretty much attached to the game!
After this, I’ll run myself a lovely big bubbly bath. Sometimes bubbles are much nicer than a bathbomb but other times I will use a bathbomb! Before I get into the bath, I’ll run through my skincare routine, which you can read about here, but I won’t apply any moisturiser or anything, just the basics to remove my makeup. In the bath I’ve been loving using the Dove 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair as I have very long hair which takes years to wash; having a one step method is so much quicker and this still keeps my hair super soft and healthy. I also use the palmolive aroma moments feel glamorous body wash and it has a lovely fruity smell which isn’t all that wintry but it is one of my all time favourite scents! After this, I usually shave my legs and exfoliate with a coffee scrub I received in August’s Betty Box (review here) which has lasted me ages and always makes my skin feel so so soft. I also run Percy Reid’s Wonder Balm through my hair once I’m out of the bath as this makes it much softer and more easy to style.
When I’m out of the bath, I’ll dry off and head to my room where I’ll moisturise my body using the Korres bergamot and pear body milk which smells heavenly and is quite moisturising too, however for any drier areas I’ll use the Nuxe oil which can be used anywhere on your body and is super hydrating. As for my face, if I think it’s really dry (which it usually is as this wintry weather is very harsh on it!) then I use my Superdrug moisturising vitamin E face mask which is such a hydrating mask and always makes my skin feel so soft. After twenty minutes or so, I wash the remainder of this off and tone my face, using my regular moisturiser or the Urban Veda facial oil as a final step.
After this I get into my pyjamas and put on my cosy slipper socks from Crew, they’re white, pink and grey and make me feel super warm and festive! I’ll then jump into bed and either watch Netflix, my favourite show at the moment being Stranger Things, or read a book – I’m about to start One Of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus, has anyone read it? This is always such a cosy evening for me and I really enjoy it!
Thank you so much for reading this post, and don’t forget to check out Siana’s blog! Sorry about the quality of photograph, I plan on updating these soon however lighting is bad and I’m just home from school!
